Keeley got her B.A. from Western Washington University with an interdisciplinary concentration titled, “Latino Communities: Culture and Advocacy.” Along with learning Spanish, her studies included projects in indigenous regions of Guatemala and Mexico, and at the US-Mexico borderlands. Keeley’s travels and studies left her with a passion to serve Latino immigrants locally.
Keeley currently works at the Mount Vernon Goodwill Job Training and Education Center as the Case Manager. Here, she meets regularly with immigrants, assisting them to sort through sources of stress, learn to advocate for themselves, and connect with trustworthy, immigrant-friendly agencies for services.
Keeley lives in Mount Vernon with her husband. She often enjoys walking the Padilla Bay Shoreline Trail, working in her garden, and cooking vegetarian meals.
